Privacy policy
This website doesn't track you. It runs no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts, sets no cookies, and loads nothing from other companies' servers. Apart from the request logs every web host keeps, the only personal information we get is what you choose to send us.
Who we are and what this covers
This policy is from Nock Technologies ("we", "us"). It covers the nocktechnologies.io website only. It does not cover our apps or other products; the Nock Fit app, for example, has its own privacy policy.
When you visit
nocktechnologies.io is a static website hosted by Netlify. Every page, script, image and typeface is served from this site. Loading a page doesn't contact a font service, an analytics service or an ad network.
Like every web host, Netlify receives each request and records technical details in its server logs, such as your IP address, the page you asked for, the time, and your browser's user agent. Netlify needs these to deliver the site and keep it secure, and keeps them under its own retention policy. We don't use them to track or profile visitors.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser, so there is no cookie banner and nothing to consent to. We don't use analytics, advertising pixels, session recording or fingerprinting.
Because we don't track visitors, there is nothing for Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals to switch off.
The contact form
The contact form is the only place on this site where you type in personal details. When you send it, we receive:
- your name and email address
- your company, if you add it
- the topic you pick and your message, if you write one
The form is handled by Netlify Forms. Netlify checks each submission for spam, records technical details with it (such as your IP address and browser), and stores it in our Netlify account. We read submissions there, and we may also get a copy by email so we can reply.
We use what you send only to answer you, or to tell you when something you asked to hear about is available, such as an alpha invitation or the NockBrain open-source release. We don't sell it or use it for anything else.
If you write to info@nocktechnologies.io, we receive your email address and your message, and we use them to reply.
Who else handles your information
Netlify hosts the site and handles the contact form for us. It is based in the United States, so information it handles for us may be processed there. We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.
Links that leave this site, such as GitHub and the live demo, go to pages this policy doesn't cover.
How long we keep it
Contact form submissions and emails stay with us only as long as we need them to answer you or to send a notice you asked for. We delete yours sooner if you ask. Netlify keeps its server logs under its own retention policy.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@nocktechnologies.io and we will answer within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm the request from the email address you used.
Children
This site is for people who build software and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change how the site handles information, we will update this page and its effective date before the change takes effect.
